Tents for motorcycle tours
Tents for motorcycle trips always require a little willingness to compromise: on the one hand, the tent should be large enough, so that luggage and motorcycle clothes and travel utensils are safely and dry. On the other hand, it should be easy and keep as compact as possible on the motorcycle. Here, too, the choice depends on the requirements. A well -walled tent saves weight and volume, but is only recommended for really dry travel areas. The shape of the tent also plays an elementary role in the selection. Dome tents are easy to set up and if necessary they stop without hip linen. Tunnel tents, on the other hand, cannot, but with the same floor space, are usually larger in the space available. Such a tent for camping with the motorcycle, you should choose primarily according to the square criterion.
Not only when autumn, winter and also the beloved motorcycle are at the door, there is sufficient protection against external influences. Better be careful as a forbearance - regular ventilation!
It is better not to rely on the advertised breathing activity of the covers. So that the air can circulate under the tarpaulin and therefore no condensation forms, you should always ensure a freedom of about five centimeters to the ground. Just take off the tarpaulin on dry days. We recommend that the motorcycle cleaned the motorcycle cleanly in front of the winter quarters and also to cut dry. This ensures that even small dirt particles under the tarpaulin cannot cause any damage and does not prevent any other scratches!
The same caution applies to heat. Although many tarpaulins are heat -resistant, you shouldn't pack your two -wheeler with a hot exhaust, manifold or engine block. Also freshly painted does not yet belong under the hood.

You can freely choose the way up. Perhaps you have a stable, sustainable board or, you use the better variant and drive up via a corrugated rail with raised side walls. The risk of slipping is significantly lower here.
Tense & set up
Spread the belt slightly on one side so that it does not hang out. If available, the motorcycle can now be briefly on the side stand. Otherwise someone should help you and hold the bike so that it does not overturn and sheet metal damage and injuries are prevented. Then put on the opposite side so that the motorcycle straightens up. Feat the side stand and then alternate the straps alternately so that the bike stops safely.
Tighten & secure
Now secure the rear to the left and right and cover all metal and lacquer parts. Also make sure that the belts are not put on too much. The straps should always be so excited that they can never break away while driving, but is guaranteed to be firm. To remove the motorcycle again, you proceed in exactly the reverse order and, if available, fold out the side stand.

About the care
Two-bike vehicle maintenance serves much more than just receiving a pleasant look. Experienced bikers use washing maneuvers as an opportunity to make sure whether the vehicle is also technically well in good condition. Whether small leaks on the engine, rubbed or even eaten cables, rust on chrome parts or a loose screw, during intensive cleaning, for example before or after the winter break, there is a lot. To wash the machine, you should always go to a suitable washing area, e.g. B. at a petrol station, because the vehicle washing is prohibited at home. If you want to use a high-pressure spotlight in a washing box, be sure to pay a sufficient distance to sensitive parts such as chain, steering head, swinging or cycling bearings. With too high pressure, you rinse the fat filling of the parts, which can lead to considerable damage. Plug -in connections of the built -in electrics can also react to high -pressure abuse with subsequent creeping flows or contact difficulties. And one more thing: the motorcycle must be cooled before washing! If the beloved machine then shines and flashes again, it is best to check the technique immediately: the oil and cooling fluid stand, profile depth and the pressure of the tires, the voltage of the drive chain and the thickness of the brake pads? Do all lighting devices work? You should then remedy striking defects or malfunctions in order not to take any risk, to present a danger to others and yourself in road traffic.

Why is the first gear for motorcycles "below" and why actually 1-N-2-3-4-5-6?
The fact that the idle between 1st and 2nd gear is technical. The gearbox is probably one of the most complex constructs of each engine. The car gear, for example, can be switched to idle between every gear, which is only due to the several actuating levers. Thus, the end of the strength can be interrupted from each course. With the motorcycle, this does not work due to space and the idle can only be within the corridors, but not outside the gear.
"Warm up" - what's it?
As is well known, there are many different opinions on the topic of "warm up motorcycle". Some place great importance on it, drive the machine for the first kilometers in the low speed range and only then turn the gas, others keep it much shorter and others do not hold anything at all, and start directly. As you may hold, the fact is: at half past six jumping out of bed at half past five jumps out of bed. The circulation must get going after the night's sleep and the entire organism will be raised. The situation is similar with the motorcycle with a motor, chassis, tires and brakes. Optimal operational readiness only with the acquisition of the operating temperature.
A rule of thumb:
Drive a maximum of half a nominal speed on the first kilometers. This gives the tougher oil time to be thin in the cold state. Then it gets everywhere and develops its full lubrication before it really gets down to business.
